"From the Pan and Into the Fire," a Startup Fire-side Chat with Jim Messemer

Prior to beginning medical school, Anthony was an active duty Air Force B-52H pilot and Chief of Flight Safety for the 2nd Bomb Wing at Barksdale Air Force Base. He has accumulated over 1,000 flying hours leading five-man B-52 crews in conventional, nuclear, joint and multinational operations. In the Air Force, Anthony gained invaluable leadership experience that he is employing in his business and medical careers. Anthony graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and minors in French and Aerospace Studies. During school, he worked as a French language teacher and teacher trainer/supervisor. Anthony helps support his ambitious and accomplished spouse Amberly, who has a master’s degree in 2nd language acquisition, as they raise their three young children Leona, James, and Susie. Together, Anthony and Amberly coach three youth soccer teams for the Lubbock Soccer Association.
