Basooma is a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Vienna in Austria. Anthony is modelling biodiversity patterns in relation to network connectivity of European streams, rivers, and linked deltas under AquaINFRA and Danube4All European Commission funded projects. Anthony develop species distribution and river network connectivity models to assess the impacts of anthropogenic pressures on the distribution of species and fragmentation of river ecosystems, respectively. In Uganda, he is an ecological modeling scientist at the National Fisheries Resources Research Institute. He hold a Master of Marine and Lacustrine Science and Management from Ghent University, Antwerp University, and Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium and a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Aquaculture from Makerere University Kampala.
