Hamdy Elsayed is a postdoctoral researcher at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. He is also a lecturer at Menoufia University (MU) in Egypt. Hamdy’s academic career in water engineering includes acquiring both his undergraduate and master's degrees in Civil Engineering from MU. He holds a PhD in Water Engineering from the Centre for Water systems at the University of Exeter in the UK. Hamdy’s research interests cover the interdisciplinary area of water resource management. He has strong interests and experience in developing and applying system-based approaches and modeling tools for water management, focusing on both water quantity and water quality aspects at the catchment level.
