Dr Fitsum Hagos, is an economist working for the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), East African office, as researcher Economics/Social Science. He has worked for IWMI for more than 15 years. He has been engaged in the following research areas: Adoption and impact of AWM technologies (including spate irrigation) on food security and nutrition and poverty, efficiency analysis, supply chain and marketing margin of irrigation technologies, climate smart agriculture and its impact on household’s food security and multidimensional poverty and resilience, water and ecosystem valuation and payment for ecosystem services, water governance, credit and insurance market, and policy and institution analysis. He has published more than 35 peer reviewed journal articles, 5 book chapters and several non-peer reviewed working and conference papers. Fitsum can be reached at f.hagos@cgiar.org
