Dr Rebecca Walugembe Nambi is working with the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries –Entebbe as a Senior Fisheries Inspector and has worked with the department of fisheries resources for 10 years and Dr Rebecca has participated in a number of activities. For example, the development of the e-Licensing system, the licensing strategy and save the perch among others. I hold a PhD in water management specializing in aquatic ecosystems management from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia.
Rebecca’s PhD study research was done on Lake Kyoga Uganda, focusing on fish breeding habitats and how they are impacted by anthropogenic activities take place around the lake. She hold a Masters degree in Fisheries science from Pukyong National University, South Korea and BSc in fisheries and Aquaculture from Makerere University –Uganda. I have made 3 publications and still writing more. She is passionate about fisheries and she would love to see our Ugandan water bodies producing more fish but in a sustainable way.
