Tom Waako is a Hydrologist with over 30 years of experience ranging from water resources assessments and analysis to transboundary water resources policy. He has spent the more recent years of his career trail in institutional strategic planning and programmatic coordination of transboundary water resources management and development interventions in the Nile Basin. The programmatic interventions promote interstate joint planning of shared water resources and ultimately facilitate transformation of the livelihoods in the basin in sustainable ways.
He is experienced in Program management, skilled in Strategic Planning, Sustainable Development, results-based Planning, and Budgeting. He qualified with Master of Science (MSc) with specialty in Engineering Hydrology and Water resources from UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education.
