Dr. Naga Velpuri is a Senior Researcher and Water Accounting team lead at the International Water Management Institute. His research interests mainly focus on the overlapping areas of water resources, surface hydrology, remote sensing, and climate change. He specializes in using earth observation data for developing a wide variety of water indicator data using consistent methodologies and digital innovation tools for integrated water resources management. Current research projects broadly cover understanding (a) developing sustainable water resources development plans under climate change, (b) understanding multi-sectoral water demands, supply, and use, (c) assessing the impact of agricultural investments, (d) multi-scale water accounting and productivity analysis, and (e) basin water accounting studies.
