Callist is a Water Resources Specialist working with the Ministry of Water and Environment in Uganda. Currently, he is a Commissioner for Water Resources Planning and Regulation with overall responsibility for ensuring sustainable and equitable utilization and protection of water resources of Uganda. He was a Regional Vice President for the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH) in charge of Sub-Saharan Africa from 2012 to 2020 and is currently a Steering Committee Member for the Africa Groundwater Network. He has represented Uganda for over 20 years in international and transboundary water resources programs and initiatives such as the Nile Basin Initiative (NBI), Inter Government Authority on Development (IGAD), UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Hydrological Program, United Nations Economic Commission for Europe etc.
