Amna has over 10 years’ experience in the water sector working in many organizations such as the Nile Basin Initiative (NBI) in their offices in Ethiopia and Uganda, Inter-Islamic Network on Water Resources Development and Management (INWRDAM) in Jordan, GEF independent evaluation office in USA, Water Research Center, Khartoum University, African Development Bank in Sudan.
Amna is very active in volunteering and youth activities at the international and national level; She is the founder and the President of the Sudanese Youth Parliament for Water where she succeeded to build a network of more than 1700 active young people acting for water around Sudan. She is also one of the 16 co-founders and the President of Young Water Solutions (YWS), an international nonprofit organization based in Belgium that aims to develop and support the potential of young people to contribute to universal water, sanitation hygiene and water resources management.
