The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh established the Environmental Research & Innovation Center (ERIC) as a division of the College of Letters & Sciences to serve as a research and testing center for campus, the general public and external partners. The ERIC specializes in projects related to environmental health, groundwater and surface water quality, solids management, and compost & compostable products. ERIC is committed to meeting client needs while training future scientists in the fields of ecology, environmental health, engineering, biology, limnology and microbiology.
ERIC’s overall mission is to offer customized scientific research and testing to the broader community practicing the Wisconsin Idea. The ERIC offers a breadth of knowledge and expertise across multiple disciplines, the ability to develop and execute custom testing procedures, and access to state-of-the-art laboratories.
