Lori Rice-Spearman Ph.D., has been the Dean of the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Health Profession since January 2016. This position is responsible for overseeing and directing the activities of the School of Health Professions in pursuit of achieving the educational, research, clinical, and service missions of the institution across four campuses. The TTUHSC School of Health Professions is comprised of twenty-one academic programs including certificate, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral education with offerings face-to-face, flex, hybrid, and online. Prior to this role, Dr. Rice-Spearman served in various positions within the school, including Associate Dean for Learning Outcomes and Assessments, as well as Chair of the Department of Laboratory Sciences and Primary Care. In total, Dr. Rice-Spearman has contributed to the TTUHSC mission for over thirty years. Her professional experience also includes serving as an accreditation reviewer and site visitor for the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences and the Commission on Accreditation for Physical Therapy Education. Rice-Spearman has publications, presentations and research in varied peer-reviewed journals and is recognized nationally as an innovator in health professions education. She currently serves as the President of the Texas Society of Allied Health Professions.
