Born and raised in West Texas, I earned my BS in Biology from Howard Payne University, then graduated from the TTUHSC Physical Therapy program in 2002. Professionally, I have primarily practiced in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine for the past 19 years. I am in my seventh year as full-time musculoskeletal faculty in the TTUHSC DPT program at the Odessa campus. I am also SHP regional dean and DPT assistant program director. My research interests include Musculoskeletal PT practice evaluation and treatment, treatment approaches considering pain science, and neurodynamic mobilization treatment efficacy. As an ScD student, I am in my dissertation phase, which has been somewhat impacted by my son's arrival. I am incredibly grateful for my supportive husband, and in our free time, we enjoy working out, gardening, and outdoor activities.
