Burgindie Pictures is the production company of filmmaking couple Barrett and Jessica Burgin. Our award-winning work is known for naturally weaving Latter-day Saint elements into the storytelling, and leading the way toward a new wave of Mormon Cinema for general audiences. Our latest short film, THE ANGEL, pushes boundaries as a Mormon Pioneer folk horror film about two plural wives who receive a mysterious visitation amidst the blood red stone of Southern Utah. It serves as a proof-of-concept for a feature screenplay, THE THIRD WIFE, which will go into production later this year. This project has been spotlighted by the Sundance Institute and the Short Film Corner at Cannes, played at numerous prestigious film festivals, and garnered academic attention from a range of institutions, including BYU-Hawaii, Ralston College, the Center for Latter-day Saint Arts, and the Sunstone Institute.
