Hutton Jones is a Licensing Associate with the Office of Research Commercialization and the newest addition to our staff. He is responsible for developing commercialization plans to market patentable technologies to industry and works with university researchers to identify good market fits for their technologies. His primary focus will be in the area of life science utilizing his background in biotechnology.
Hutton graduated from Abilene Christian University with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry in 2009. He then worked as a research assistant for Receptor Logic, an Abilene based technology startup that specializes in therapeutic antibodies that was spun out of the TTUHSC School of Pharmacy.
Hutton also holds a master's degree in Biotechnology from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center where his research centered on generating phage-display peptide inhibitors and bacteriophage solutions for drug-resistant bacteria. He interned in the Office of Research Commercialization as a Licensing Assistant while earning his master's degree.
