After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Langston University and a Juris Doctorate Degree from Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C., Davis served as a tax consultant and tax attorney with the international accounting firms of Arthur Andersen & Co. in Washington, D.C. Davis has served on numerous boards and councils, which include his current service as the president of the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts, chairman of the Texas Tech Chancellor’s African American Enrollment Task Force and many more. He is married to Renee Gonzales Davis, and is the proud father of Toren and Teklyn.
