Our full day tour will take us to Annecy, on the northern tip of Lake Annecy, just 22 miles (35 kilometers) south of Geneva. Because of its proximity to Switzerland, over the centuries, the city has been ruled by both the Swiss and French. Today it is referred to as the "Venice of the Alps" with three canals of the Thiou River. Weaving through the "old city", our coaches will take us to the port on Lake Annecy, where we will board our boat to cruise around the beautiful lake whose stunning scenery led to Annecy's reputation as a tourist attraction. We will enjoy a delicious lunch and walk in the old city along its canals, stopping to visit the Palace of Isle and Castle of Annecy.
