The 29 Acres living community in Cross Roads, TX is a place for people with autism created by people who know autism! Residents have access to a long list of amenities that include a community center, fitness center, pool, organized social events, and educational opportunities! This autism friendly living community is built for safety and security with overnight security, a gated front entrance, and state of the art technology in the homes.
Transition Academy is a two-year residential program for higher functioning adults with autism. This program is for those who are motivated to live independently and enjoy competitive employment. The four major components of this program include living in our transitional housing, learning independent living, career readiness skills through our proven curriculum, and gaining work experience through internships and jobs. Students are able to practice living in their first home with peers that become friends and like family.
Enrichment Services support the full spectrum of autism and is completely tailored to the clients individualized life plan. This program is community based, not center based. Skills are taught and practiced in a natural environment, which can include social, life, and vocational skills.
Employment Services can include job skills training, job placement, and supported employment. We are a vendor for Texas Workforce Solutions and provide support for individuals in Denton and Collin counties.
Summer Transition Experience includes adapted water sports and activities to build on social skills, daily living skills, and leisure skills. This program is available for ages 16+!
