Through a variety of services, Ability Connection addresses an individual's unique needs and priorities through support, training and care. These services include residential and housing solutions, community supports through waiver programs, on-site training centers with tiered levels of support, therapies, support and employment services. In 2021, Ability Connection will begin a 10 week Summer Camp for individuals 12-17 years old along with Respite and School Holiday programs.
Our goals are simple; increase participation in all our programs and create an environment where clients with disabilities can set goals with our help and guidance to achieve those goals of independence, inclusion, assist with social skills and improvement of health and nutrition. We also stress and adhere to safe housing standards. Currently we operate seven assisted living group homes for adults with disabilities that proved 24/7 medical oversight, basic need services and health care which allows 34 adults to live to their highest level of independence.
We have created a life change space at the Main Campus training center in Dallas, where each member works with a life change instructor and case manager to chart the individual progress plan that helps set achievable goals to improve motor and cognitive skills. We recently opened a second training center in Southlake and looking to expand to Collin and Denton counties. Ability Connection wants all our members to achieve their highest level of independence and inclusion.
