Jom Ijun feiert dieses Jahr sein 20. Jubiläum. Zur Feier läuten wir diesen Jom Ijun schon am Samstag, 30.1.2021, in Zusammenarbeit mit Seret, mit einem Filmabend ein.
Aufgrund der aktuellen Corona-Lage findet das Programm dieses Jahr nur online statt.
Teilnehmende die sich vor dem 21.1.2021 anmelden, und in der Schweiz wohnen, dürfen sich auf eine Überraschung in ihrem Briefkasten freuen.
Jom Ijun celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, we will start this Jom Ijun on Saturday, January 30, 2021, with a film evening.
Due to the Corona pandemic, the entire event will take place online.
Participants who register before 21 January 2021 can look forward to a surprise in their mailbox (in Switzerland only).
"Wahrheit und Lüge" - Das Thema ist so aktuell wie vielschichtig. Im Kontext der aktuellen Pandemie kursieren Unwahrheiten und Verschwörungstheorien. Die Frage der Glaubwürdigkeit treibt Medien, Politik und Gesellschaft um: wem vertraue ich, und warum? Auch im Privatleben kennen wir das Dilemma: Wann sollen wir die Wahrheit verzerren, um andere, oder gar uns selbst, zu schonen? Am Jom Ijun werden wir das Verhältnis zwischen Wahrheit und Lüge aus kultureller, historischer, religiöser, und gesellschaftlicher Sicht anpacken, und uns fragen, was jüdische Quellen zum “post-faktischen” Zeitalter zu sagen haben. Wir freuen uns auf einen spannenden Lerntag mit Dir!
"Truth and Lie"
- This topic is both timely and complex. Lies and conspiracy theories
are circulating about the current pandemic. The question of credibility
is on everyone’s minds in the media, politics and our society: whom can I
trust and why? We grapple with such dilemmas in our private lives too:
when should we distort the truth in order to protect others or
ourselves? At Jom Ijun, we will study the relationship between truth and
lies from a cultural, historical, religious and sociological
standpoint, and ask ourselves, what Jewish sources have to say about the “Post-truth” era. We are looking forward to an exciting day with you!
