The Department of Energy’s Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER), in partnership with Idaho National Laboratory (INL), is bringing one of their free 3-day cybersecurity training events to Alaska. This training is designed for technical practitioners: in electric, oil, and natural gas utilities; from military installations served by utilities; and in the emergency response community who might be activated in a cybersecurity incident at the utility, local, regional, or state level. All utility employees that have a responsibility for managing operations and the digital infrastructure of utilities, including cooperative, public power, tribal, and investor-owned utilities, are encouraged to attend.
See below for a description of the classes. Registration is free but participants will be expected to cover their own costs for travel, lodging, and meals.
