We will set the stage and provide some historical context for the weekend; give a brief overview of the origins and impact of the early feminist movement, and political actions that came about.

The creation of physical and emotional space for feminist activism that evolved into Action Studies, WRAC, child care, LNACC, AIAW, ICWP, RVAP, DVIP and separatist lesbian culture.

Iowa Women’s Archives Open House
Tour the IWA on the 3rd floor of the Main Library. See documents and collections from early days of feminist activism in Iowa City. Bring your photos, letters, collections to donate to the IWA.
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Women's Resource & Action Center Reception
Enjoy snacks and drinks and a tour of the new location of the Women's Resource & Action Center at 230 N. Clinton St. Meet up with your friends. Mingle with the next wave of feminists.
