This presentation provides an overview of the evolving fire hazard of passenger vehicles and parking garages. It includes a review of recent large fires, vehicle combustibility, relevant research and current protection standards as well as future challenges.
Speaker: Brett Cassano
Brett Cassano has worked at FM for 35 years and is currently the New York Operations Chief Engineer. Most of his loss prevention career was spent working out of the Sao Paulo, Brazil operation where he provided risk analysis and loss prevention consulting services to high hazard industry clients throughout Latin America including integrated pulp and paper mills, molten metals, metal transformation, chemical, mining and metals extraction and many other industrial occupancies. Throughout his career, Brett has held positions that include Field Engineer, Training Specialist, Group Manager Field Engineering and Account Engineer.
Brett is a graduate from NJIT and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He is a sitting member of the NJIT School of Applied Engineering Technology Board of Advisors.
