Help Wanted: Want to get involved? Sign up at the registration desk to become a room proctor. Room proctors arrive a little bit early and make sure the speaker has everything he or she might need. They introduce the speaker and topic, hand out and collect training surveys, and report any problems to conference staff.
Attendance Raffle: Room proctors will hand
out raffle tickets promptly at the scheduled start time and at the end of each
breakout session. Write your name on the
back of the ticket and drop it at the Registration desk for a chance to win
great prizes. Drawings will be held
after the last session on Thursday with the winning ticket information
announced during the Awards Reception on Thursday and posted at the
registration table. You don’t have to be
present to win but please pick up your prize before 1130 hours Friday. Check in to sessions, meetings, and meals and
compete the surveys through event leaf for chances to win a separate prize
drawing that will occur after the conference ends. The winner of the Eventleaf raffle will
receive an amazon gift card by email!
Vendor Floor: The vendor floor is in
Great Halls B, C, and D. We encourage you to visit the vendor hall on your way
Drink tickets: You’ll get two drink tickets with your
registration packet. Tickets can be
redeemed during the Chapter Dinner, Vendor Reception, or Awards Reception or Banquet.
50/50 Raffle: Tickets will be $1 each
and each day the proceeds will be split half to the raffle winner and the other
half to the chapter. Look for a Chapter Services member to get your
tickets! Tuesday the drawing will be
held at the end of the chapter dinner.
On Wednesday, the drawing will be held during the Vendor Floor
Reception. On Thursday, the drawing will
be held after dinner. On Friday, the drawing
will be held right before the session ends.
You must be present to win!
Silent Basket Auction: The Gift Basket Silent Auction is back again. Stop by the Chapter Services Committee tables in the lobby to see the offerings in the Gift Basket Silent Auction! Baskets will be given a starting price determined by the Chapter Services Committee. A “Buy-It Now” price may be posted for the baskets on their bid sheets. The auction closes at 1800 hours on Thursday, June 29th and baskets must be picked up and paid for by 1100 hours on Friday. All proceeds will go to support the efforts of the Chapter’s Public/Government Affairs Committee. Winners can pay at the Registration Table.
Breaks: Coffee will be available each morning starting at 0800 until about 1500 and also at all of the meals. A light snack will be provided at each morning and afternoon break (see the agenda for times).
Sponsors: Please be sure to thank our conference and Chapter Sponsors and all of the vendors participating in this year’s conference. Without them the conference would not be possible. The Chapter encourages you to support the vendors that support APCO and NENA.
Scavenger Hunt: Various photographs have been places in vendor booths around the hall… some of them include the chapter logo. When you find a photo with the logo write the photo number on your scavenger hunt card. Write your name and agency on the back of the card. After you complete your card drop it in the bucket near the entrance to Great Hall B. All entries must be received by 1130 on Thursday. Prize winners will be announced on the vendor floor between 1130 and 1300. You must be present to win.
