Program Overview
The Pancreas Symposium was recorded on Thursday, October 28, 2023.
The Pancreas Symposium is a Hybrid event focusing on Pancreas cancer, including patients at risk, as well as pancreatitis are among the most complex cases that physicians are confronted with as internists, gastroenterologists, oncologists, and surgeons. The Pancreas Symposium 2023 program will review cutting-edge diagnostics and treatments as well as those on the horizon for pancreas diseases, both benign and malignant. This year’s program will feature renowned experts in pancreas cancer care, diagnostics and pancreatitis. Our internationally recognized faculty will present lectures and case presentations to help practicing clinicians treat pancreatic disease.

- Identify the causes of pancreatitis, pancreatic cysts and pancreatic cancer
- Discuss the management strategies for pancreatitis, pancreatic cysts and pancreatic cancer
- Explain the controversies related to the diagnosis and management of these pancreatic disorders
Target Audience
This activity is designed for gastroenterologists, oncologists (medical, radiation, surgeon), general GI/hepatobiliary surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, advanced practitioners, genetics counselors, nutritionists and residents/fellows

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Columbia University Department of Surgery and Amedco LLC. Amedco LLC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

PHYSICIANS
Amedco LLC designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS
AAPA accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. PAs may receive a maximum of 5.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for completing this activity.
NURSE PRACTITIONERS
The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) recognizes the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as approved accreditors and allow reciprocity for AANPCP continuing education credit.
We are also offering learners Maintenance of Certification (MOC), also known as Continuing Certification. This is the process by which physicians maintain their board certification by participating in robust continuous professional development. Therefore, we will also be analyzing changes in competence and performance achieved, as a result of the content and program's activities. This data will be collected via case presentation discussion where learners will have to share how they would approach the case at various stages and/or use of an audience response system. Learners claiming MOC must pass.
Satisfactory Completion
Learners must complete an evaluation form to receive a certificate of completion. Your chosen sessions must be attended in their entirety. Partial credit of individual sessions is not available. If you are seeking continuing education credit for a specialty not listed above, it is your responsibility to contact your licensing/certification board to determine course eligibility for your licensing/certification requirement.
