We are excited to announce the 5th Annual Collin County Mental Health Symposium The event will be held on November 15th, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm at the Courtyard by Marriott Allen at the John Q. Hammons Center (210 E Stacy Rd, Allen, TX 75002). The symposium is designed for mental health professional, emergency response personnel, attorneys, police officers and others who interact with the mentally ill.
In Collin County, like everywhere else across the country, we see issues related to mental illness. Tragic events in the media highlight the deficiencies in our mental health system. Services and treatment we need for these individuals are not always available contributing to the persistence of this ongoing issue.
Trauma, Treatment & Tomorrow is the theme of this year’s event this is a great opportunity for education and networking as well as for local businesses across Collin County to support this effort to provide training and collaboration to find solutions to the mental health needs in Collin County.
