Introduction to Fire Sprinklers

This program is beneficial for the individual that is just starting out in the sprinkler industry, or is interested in learning more about the Canadian Fire Sprinkler Industry. It provides the participant with basic sprinkler knowledge of sprinkler systems.  The program covers types of systems, types of sprinklers, system components and basic definitions used in the applicable National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.  The course also provides a brief overview of the historical development of sprinkler systems.

All attendee's will receive a workbook and will receive a certificate of attendance, which in many cases can be used for Continued Education Units (CEU's)

James Hook is the Manager of Codes and Technical Standards at the Canadian Automatic Sprinkler Association. James attended BCIT for Mechanical drafting. James has over twenty three years of experience in the Fire Sprinkler Industry.
