Aloha! E Komo Mai! (Hello! Welcome!)

Northside Mothers of Multiples is honored to be your host of the 44th Annual Minnesota Mothers of Multiples State Workshop and help you take some Mai Tai’m for yourself during this weekend away! Come and join us in celebrating another year of raising and surviving multiples through support, encouragement, and triumph.

During this annual workshop weekend you will be provided with many opportunities to focus on yourself, because you cannot take care of others if you do not first take care of yourself. Self-care and health comes in many dimensions including mental, physical, spiritual, social, intellectual, and so on. You will find each of these aspects infused throughout the weekend events. We will welcome you on Friday evening with a dinner buffet, gathering, and finally some enjoyment of your choosing - whether loud and energetic, or quiet and relaxing.  You will peacefully wake on Saturday morning, free from your normal duties. We know that this is your time away from home. Don’t worry about waking early to rush down for breakfast! You will be given a breakfast-in-bed package in your welcome bag to enjoy in the comfort of your room, taking time for yourself. If you also desire, there will be an optional early morning Zumba session to Shake Your Coconuts. The workshop festivities will continue with many excellent speaker sessions to fill your toolbox of self-care.  You will have access to the coveted spa both on Friday and Saturday along with crafty vendors and overflowing raffles. We also have a fun-filled Saturday evening planned to encourage ongoing time for YOU!

We hope that you will walk away from this weekend feeling relaxed, empowered, and ready to face the ocean ahead. Mahalo!

Charity:

The Potato Head Project

Spreading Hope to Families of Micro-Preemie Babies, One Potato at a Time

Kristin Moan started The Potato Head Project in 2013 after giving birth to her twins girls, Dylan and Hayden, that were only 23 weeks 6 days gestation. They were born at 1 pound 3 ounces and 1 pound 7 ounces (think of 4-5 sticks of butter!). They spent 119 days in the NICU and Kristin had countless sleepless nights, middle of the night phone calls and had to sign more paperwork than she could have imagined while they were there.  They took weekly photos with Mrs. Potato heads so all of their friends and family could watch them grow and understand how truly small they were! Kristin has since started handing them out to other families, friends and complete strangers who are going through the same type of journey. This gives them something to look forward to and share with their own family and friends! To learn more visit www.thepotatoheadproject.org/ or www.facebook.com/ThePotatoHeadProject/

We will be collecting:

Mr. and Mrs. Potato Heads (New in the box – regular size)

New, unwashed, WHITE onesies size 0-3 mo & 12-18 mo.

       Monetary donations are also welcome

Checks made payable to: The Potato Head Project
