Although the curriculum is written in a lecture format, we’ve managed to avoid death by PowerPoint while still satisfying N.Y. State requirements. We give our students more than just a general overview of the duties and responsibilities of a security officer by adding an interactive flare.

Our approach brings the material to life by teaching real onsite applications. The significance of this training cannot be understated. With it, you’ll be assigned to a site and expected to perform written post order. Our instructors train to this end and provide the strong foundation needed to sustain a long security industry career.

Course Topics

  • Introduction
  • Role of a Security Guard
  • Legal Powers and Limitations
  • Emergency Situations
  • Communications and Public Relations
  • Access Control
  • Ethics and Conduct
  • Review and Examination

Each of the above topics will be presented and taught in a manner that provides security officers a solid base they can build their corporate security career upon. This is accomplished using a multi-pronged approach that transports students from the classroom to what potentially may become their post on a future site. Our instructors know that closing the gap between the material the state requires be taught and what clients and building managers expect from their new security officers’ will determine the future of each of our students. We look forward to seeing you in class!
