ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector Seminar- 16 PDHs
March 29, 31, April 6 & 9, 2022 - Times and Locations Below

This intense three (3) night training seminar will prepare you for the one (1) day exam to become a Concrete Construction Special Inspector

In accordance with the International Building Code (Chapter 17, Section 1705), special inspections shall be required for concrete construction and other building aspects that, in the opinion of the building official, requires full time or periodic inspections and verification of construction materials and systems to ensure conformance with applicable codes.  In many juristications such as New York City, most major projects require a certified special inspector to conduct these inspections to support the Professional Engineer for the site.  The Concrete Construction Special Inspector certification provided by the American Concrete Institute (ACI) is nation’s leading program for providing this training and certification exam.

What Type of Certification Will I Receive?

A Concrete Construction Special Inspector is a person qualified to inspect and record the results of concrete construction inspection based on codes and job specifications. The program covers inspection during preplacement, placement, and post-placement operations.

An Associate Concrete Construction Special Inspector is a person who is knowledgeable about inspection procedures for concrete construction, including preplacement, placement, and post-placement operations; but does not have the experience required to qualify as an ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector.

Scope and Knowledge The programs require a knowledge of concrete construction, including plans reading, formwork installation and removal, reinforcements, embedments, sampling and testing freshly mixed concrete, conveying, placing, consolidation, finishing, jointing curing, and protection.
