PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The NewYork-Presbyterian Cardio-Oncology Summit program will provide a
comprehensive overview of the latest developments in the rapidly emerging field
of cardio-oncology. The program consists
of 6 unique sessions that will address key questions in the management of
cardiac disease in patients with cancer, as well as cancer survivors. NewYork-Presbyterian’s Cardio-Oncology
program has established new clinical pathways for Cardio-Oncology care from prevention
of cardiac disease, to the management of long-term cardiac toxicities. Sessions will consist of case-based
discussions, lectures and Q&A, presented by a multidisciplinary group of
experts in the field of cardio-oncology from NewYork-Presbyterian, as well as
invited guest faculty.

cardiovascular complications of cancer treatment of lymphoma and contemporary
preventive strategies.

advances in diagnosis and treatment of TTR and AL cardiac amyloidosis.

Understand the
current approach and principles of permissive cardiotoxicity as it applies to
patients undergoing anthracycline and anti
HER 2 therapies.

Review the latest
management strategies of pericardial disease in the cancer patient
●
Identify presenting
features and management of checkpoint inhibitor myocarditis
●
Understand
management of cancer in patients with advanced heart failure and heart
transplantation
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed for primary care physicians, adult and
pediatric cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, general surgeons, internists,
oncologists, hematologists, radiation and surgical oncology, NPs, PAs, RNs,
pharmacists, physical therapists and other medical professionals involved in
the evaluation, diagnosis and/or management of patients related to
cardio-oncology.
