The workshop is scheduled from 9 AM to noon on Saturday, February 15, 2020. It will be held at Hamlin Robinson School in Seattle, WA.
Online registration closes on February 13 but walk-in registrations will be available on site.
Presenters:
Pat Massoth is a Master Slingerland Teacher who has taught
at Hamlin Robinson School for more than 20 years. She has served on the Board of the Washington Branch of the International Dyslexia Association and participated in
teacher training through the Slingerland Institute for Literacy.
Beverly Cuevas LICSW,ACSW is a clinical Social Worker who
has facilitated classroom meetings at HRS for 30 years. She sees dyslexia as a learning difference
rather than a disability. She will present
some tools that will emphasize positive acceptance and understanding as we deal
with issues related to dyslexia and language-learning disabilities.
Bev Wolf, former head of Hamlin Robinson School has
been training teachers in the
Slingerland Approach for more than thirty years. In addition to writing materials for
classroom teachers she collaborated with Virginia Berninge r to write Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, OWL LD, and
Dyscalculia, Lessons from Science and Teaching, now in its second
edition.
