This workshop (hosted via webinar) will provide information and tools that will enable qualified, licensed nursing home administrators to become Certified Preceptors for the AHCF Administrator-In-Training (AIT) Program. Following the 16-week AIT course, the certified preceptor will receive a certificate for 10 continuing education units to be included with the 20 required to maintain their NHA license with the Arkansas Office of Long Term Care.
The facility-based instruction component of the AIT course is designed to provide AIT students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a practical environment, in order to find solutions to the unique challenges facing long term care facilities. During the 16-week course period, preceptors will act as supervisors to their AIT student.
