Are you feeling inspired and excited to use Slingerland in your classroom?  Would you like some support to make sure you remember all the steps and procedures? If you answered YES, then the Sustaining Slingerland Skills workshops are for you!  


Date/Time: Unless specified these sessions will be held the second Saturday of every month from October-May.  These interactive online sessions will take place from 9:30 am-12:30 pm.

  1. October 10, 2020 - Slingerland Remote Learning
  2. November - TBD
  3. December 12, 2020 - Structured Reading:  ALL FOUR STEPS (Stages)
  4. January 9, 2021 -- Phonological vs. Morphological Approaches to Word Identification
  5. February 27, 2021 -- Dictation
  6. March 13, 2021 -- More on Structured Reading 
  7. April 2021 - TBD
  8. May 8, 2021 -- Baseline Data for Informing Instructional Planning

The teachers who attend the first meeting in October will determine the topics for the year. 

The first 75 minutes of each meeting will include brief introductions followed by a time for general questions and open discussion *related to Slingerland instruction.  Presentation on the chosen topic—with an opportunity for questions along the way—will follow.  Bring your Slingerland questions and concerns to the meeting.  If you have a questions that needs an in-depth answer, please send an email message so that the instructor can have any materials that might be pertinent available.  (Click here to send an email) 

Clock hours are not currently available for these workshops. 


Price - $25 per person, per session

 Sign up for five or more sessions and save $5 per session!!  The discount will be applied as a refund upon receipt of your registration.
