Program Overview
Join us for a Free two-hour CME-accredited course on learning and sharing with the Lung Cancer Screening experts from NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Our outstanding team of Physicians and Nurse Practitioners will share their expertise in care for smokers and ex-smokers at high risk for lung cancer and other complications. They assess and treat lung cancer with standard medical therapy, investigational protocols, and surgical therapy while providing an overview of screening and treatment strategies. The program will include; causes, signs and symptoms, risk factors and screening, as well as innovative approaches to treatment and long-term management. The format of this program will consist of lectures, case studies, and interactive discussions.
Learning Objectives
- Identify unique aspects and treatments of lung cancer development for smokers and ex-smokers
- Familiarize with lung cancer screening benefits and risks of the exam
- Understanding the benefits of discussing results with a radiologist's viewpoints founded on a computed tomography exam
Target Audience
This program has been designed for general and thoracic surgeons, pulmonologists, oncologists, internists, critical care physicians, respiratory therapists, radiologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and other medical professionals involved in the evaluation, diagnosis, and/or management of patients with lung cancer.

NURSE PRACTITIONERS
The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) recognizes the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as approved accreditors and allow reciprocity for AANPCP continuing education credit.
Satisfactory Completion
Learners must complete an evaluation form to receive a certificate of completion. Your chosen sessions must be attended in their entirety. Partial credit of individual sessions is not available. If you are seeking continuing education credit for a specialty not listed above, it is your responsibility to contact your licensing/certification board to determine course eligibility for your licensing/certification requirement.
