What Is It?
Exploring your role in God’s mission to the unreached? Want to see if Pioneers could be a good ministry partner? Then Mission:Next is a weekend for you!
Be stirred by our core values, learn about the needs across the world and leave with an action plan for your next steps in mission, whether with Pioneers or not! Though not a 'training' event, Pioneers has designed the weekend to be very interactive and touch on key issues in missions, but with a flavour of Pioneers.
Where & When Is It?
COVID UPDATE We are being permitted to run the event this time around as long as we put a number of Covid restrictions in place. You will be familiar with most of them - face coverings, one way systems, table bubbles etc. - but one thing we do need you to do is to take a Lateral Flow Test 3 days before you travel. If this is positive you need to follow it up with a PCR test. If the LFT or PCR test are negative, you can come! If the PCR test is positive, you will unfortunately have to delay your Mission:Next experience until next time around, and follow the government's procedures for testing positive. You can order free LFT test packs here https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests
Travel options: By air to Glasgow Airport (The Bible Centre is almost at the end of the runway!); Train to Glasgow or Paisley; Bus to Glasgow; Drive direct.
*Please speak with the staff person who invited you to this event to coordinate a ride from the airport or bus/train station.
What Can I Expect?
We’ll explore key issues for cross-cultural ministry, with each workshop geared towards Pioneers' core values. Sessions include:
What Does It Cost?
Ruth spends her time encouraging and supporting people to pray, give and go in mission globally and locally. Outside of work, Ruth is a keen musician and photographer and part of Kirkintilloch Baptist Church. She’s also worked on TV with Doctor Who’s dad!
Joining Pioneers USA in 2001, Steve has been a mobiliser (a mentor to those wanting to go) that entire time. He joined the UK office in 2009 to help establish it as an org to send British people to the least reached peoples.
Harriet is a missionary from Kenya serving as a mission mentor while studying at All Nations Christian College. She seeks to envision and mobilise African Diaspora Christians/Churches for cross-cultural mission especially among LRPGs in the UK/Europe.
Chris is passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus the Messiah, especially with those who have never had the opportunity to hear and he definitely spends more time outdoors than in on adventures with his wife and their “little little” called Honour.
