Program Overview
IN-PERSON & VIRTUAL CONFERENCE
This course is designed to provide a comprehensive review of the most important advances that have recently been made in Women's Hematology.

About The Program
Women’s Hematology is a relatively new field, encompassing presentations and outcomes of hematologic disease unique to individuals with the past, present or future potential to menstruate or become pregnant, that often requires a multidisciplinary team to care for the patient. The management of severe iron deficiency anemia, thromboses, bleeding and platelet disorders in women is often undiagnosed or met with delayed diagnosis. This course will provide attendees with the tools needed to make these diagnoses early as well as provide the management skills needed to take care of these patients through lectures from experts in the field and small group sessions.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Identify, diagnose and manage common inherited blood disorders in women, with emphasis on life span care including menstrual bleeding, pregnancy, menopause/aging.
- Comanage complex hematologic issues during pregnancy, delivery and postpartum period.
- Diagnose thrombophilia in women and analyze the impact of thrombophilia as well as history of VTE on fertility and assisted reproduction.
- Employ patient-centered approach to management of women with hematologic issues.
- Recognize signs of iron deficiency with/without anemia and how to diagnose and manage effectively.

Video Access
Following the program, all registrants with have access to lecture videos for ONE month.
