Program Overview
Both webinars were recorded on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, and Wednesday, May 26, 2021.NYP/Columbia University Irving Medical Center and Columbia University Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center experts offer extensive experience diagnosing and treating all forms and stages of skin cancer. They assess and treat complex skin cancer with standard medical therapy, investigational protocols, and surgical therapy. The overall goal of the activity is to learn about commonly encountered advances in prevention, surveillance and management for cutaneous malignancies as well as understanding the different ways of managing such cancers. The clinical discussions will include; causes, signs and symptoms, risk factors and screening as well as innovative approaches to treatment and long-term management. The format of this program will conĀsist of lectures and interactive discussion.
Learning Objectives
- Understand current recommendations regarding surveillance and prevention for cutaneous malignancies.
- Review the surgical management of complex cutaneous tumor cases.
- Understand the principals of cancer immunology and the increasingly important role of novel immunotherapeutic agents in the management of cutaneous malignancies.
Target Audience
This program has been designed for dermatologists, surgeons, medical oncologist, midlevel providers who see patients with cutaneous malignancies including melanoma, cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, and basal cell carcinoma.
