Program Overview
This is a medical education program designed for Healthcare Professionals and will be a series of lectures, seminars and workshops that provide the foundation of hepatology care in this population. This session will cover important topics related to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) for healthcare professionals who care for the members of the Asian community.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this program, provider attendees will be able to identify:
- Identify patients at risk for cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma
- Understand the complications of cirrhosis and guidance for cirrhosis care
- Understand the risks of hepatocellular carcinoma, appropriate screening and treatment options
- Discuss National guidance for care of hepatocellular carcinoma
Target Audience
This activity is designed for Asian patients living in the NY metropolitan area and Health care providers (hepatologist, gastroenterologists, internist, family medicine providers, mid-levels in gastroenterology or primary care).

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS
AAPA accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. PAs may receive a maximum of 4.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for completing this activity.
NURSE PRACTITIONERS
The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) recognizes the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as approved accreditors and allow reciprocity for AANPCP continuing education credit.
Satisfactory Completion
Learners must complete an evaluation form to receive a certificate of completion. Your chosen sessions must be attended in their entirety. Partial credit of individual sessions is not available. If you are seeking continuing education credit for a specialty not listed above, it is your responsibility to contact your licensing/certification board to determine course eligibility for your licensing/certification requirement.
