This meeting will take place one week before the October meeting of the UN Tax Committee in Geneva, Switzerland. This will facilitate travel to Vienna since there are very few direct flights to Geneva and Vienna may be used as a European hub to travel afterwards to Geneva for the UN meeting.
Meetings of this Vienna group bring together senior officials from OECD and non OECD governments, business, academics and representatives from International and regional organizations in an informal environment. This meeting will also serve as a forum to informally review the extended outline of the proposed UN Handbook on dispute resolution for developing countries, work on which has been initiated by the UN Secretariat following the April meeting of the UN Tax Committee.
