To all Child Abuse & Family Violence Summit organizers, guests and attendees:
Some unfortunate but necessary news:
Due to the Nation's novel-coronavirus state of emergency and the Oregon and Washington Governor's just-announced ban on large gatherings, we will be canceling the 21st Annual Child Abuse and Family Violence Summit.
We are currently working with local health authorities, the event venue, and our speakers to discuss options towards rescheduling for a later date or simply resuming the conference in April 2021. As we learn more in the coming days and weeks, we will provide detailed information about future plans for holding the Summit, refunds, and any other concerns. Please direct questions on these matters to Conference Coordinator Julie Bitz at firstname.lastname@example.org.We sincerely value your continued support of this important training, and we appreciate your patience as we work through these unforeseen challenges.
Take care and be safe.
Clackamas County Sheriff
The Summit is hosted by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office Child Abuse Team and the Domestic Violence Enhanced Response Team. Through relevant and thoughtful programming, we hope to reduce harm to children and families. Our goal is to connect agencies, educate individuals, and build community to improve outcomes. Working together, we can stand strong to better serve those who need us most. "The Power of One in Collaboration with Others."
This year we’ll be offering a special movie premier of the documentary film Rewind on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 during the lunch break. Directed by keynote speaker Sasha Neulinger, this gripping autobiographical account revels a harrowing story of childhood sexual abuse suffered by him and his sister; tracking the work of many who fought to help them see justice.
Grab & Go lunches will be available onsite for purchase. View the trailer at: https://vimeo.com/361163468.
Exhibitors are invited to apply for space at the 21st Annual Child Abuse & Family Violence Summit -- set for April 21-24, 2020 at the Red Lion Hotel on the River in Portland, Oregon.
