Achieving Results Through Collective Efficacy
NCPAPA's Fall Instructional Symposium 2021
November 18 - 19, 2021  ·  The Carolina Hotel - Pinehurst Resort

Studies have identified “collective teacher efficacy” as the most predictive variable for impacting student achievement.  When a school staff believes that they have the collective capacity to impact student learning, they can overcome challenges such as student poverty, lack of parental involvement, and students’ prior achievement deficiencies.    So, how do school leaders build a strong sense of collective efficacy among the staff at their schools?  This year’s NCPAPA Fall Instructional Symposium will focus on how school leaders create a collaborative culture of efficacy and high expectations by building teachers’ skills and their capacity to impact student learning.    Sessions will focus on what effective school leaders do to strategically develop a sense of Collective Teacher Efficacy with a special emphasis on areas such as:

  • Science of Reading strand
  • Advancing teachers' effective use of blended, digital instructional models
  • Teaming strategies that promote teacher buy-in and peer accountability
  • Using data analysis to help teachers see the evidence of their collective impact on student learning
