Inviting Everyone to the Table
As agriculture becomes more diverse than ever before, the SCFB Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee aims to offer you a conference that brings together young farmers and ag enthusiasts from across South Carolina. Designed to encourage YF&R's to join together as a unified voice, this conference provides sessions that will meet diverse educational interests. Featuring educational, networking, and leadership development opportunities, this event offers something for everyone.
Braxten shares his message about hard work, being resilient and how to keep positive and overcome setbacks and challenges.
As a member of AFBF’s training team, Johnna fills a unique training role that stems from her previous life as a reporter for television stations. She now uses her media background to design and offer media, advocacy and social media workshops.
Ron has counseled families for 40 years. His goal is to keep a farm in the family so that a farming legacy continues for the success of future young farming generations.
Will works at the South Carolina Department of Agriculture under produce safety as an outreach specialist. Also, I work on our family farm where we grow strawberries, pumpkins and all summer vegetables.
Ken has worked in the poultry industry for the past 30 years and also serves on the Board of Directors of the International Poultry Welfare Alliance (IPWA).
Lynne is the District Conservationist for the Natural Resources Conservation Service and covers Greenville County. Using voluntary conservation programs, NRCS helps farmers and private landowners conserve and protect natural resources on their land.
Kirsten Robertson has been farming for 33 years - running a CSA, selling goat milk, lamb and eggs.
Noel Myers is the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Wildlife Services program State Director in South Carolina. Noel has been in his current role since 2003 and manages the program in providing federal leadership in wildlife damage management.
Lynn Ballard served as Greenville County Councilman representing District 26 from 2014-2022.
Bethani McLellan is the Operations Manager at Strawberry Hill USA in Chesnee, SC with over 10 years of hands-on experience of growing her family’s Agritourism program, Roadside Market, and full-service Restaurant.
Rebecca McKinney, 3-term chair of the SCFB Diversified Agriculture Committee, headed Greenville Tech’s Sustainable Agriculture program, an organic growing conference, a homesteading festival, and a farmers’ market.
Dan Rummel is a Relationship Manager with ArborOne Farm Credit. Dan helps provide financing and financial guidance for agricultural operations and landowners
Jeb Burke works for Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance as an estate planner. He has spent almost 5 years working in the Life Insurance industry. Specifically, Jeb has worked alongside his clients to help them find solutions and plan for their futures.
Scott Mickey is an Extension Associate with the Clemson Extension Agri-Business team. He provides financial directions to ag businesses specializing in risk management, financial performance analysis and monitoring financial and marketing plans.
Forrest is a retired fisheries biologist from SCDNR with 33 years of service with the DNR fish hatcheries. Currently, owns and operates Hickory Hill Aquaculture.
Danny Howard is a retired Clemson Extension agent who worked in Agriculture, specifically in Greenville County. He has 40 years of Extension service with Clemson & Auburn University, & University of Georgia.
Trixi DeRosa-Davis and her family have a homestead in Salem SC where they work to raise and preserve their own food.
Chef Veera whose expertise is the Mediterranean Diet, will prepare tasting for you while speaking to the methodology for creating, enjoying and preserving true extra virgin olive oils.

If you would like to donate an item, please bring the item to registration check-in on February 3, 2023 before 8:00pm.

Using the link below, go to the Qtego website and click on the “Register For Event” button.

Fill in the information page. * There is an option to cover administrative fees. By helping us cover these fees up front, we can ensure that we reach our goal.
Step 3
You will receive your PIN via text (both letters and numbers). Use that PIN to sign into your account on the website.
Step 4
From the website home page, click the "Silent Auction" tab.
Step 5
On the auction page, you can view all of the items.
Step 6
Select an item to view its information and submit a bid.
Once you submit a bid, you will receive updates via text on your bidding status.
Additional bids on your items can be made through text message or the link.
The Auction will close promptly at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4. At this time, you will be notified of the items you won and credit cards will be processed.
You will then receive a link to your receipt. Please visit the Regency Ballroom (Downstairs) between 5:30 - 6:30 or 8:30 - 9:30 to pick up your items.
Young Farmers and Ranchers have the chance to showcase their creative side in the annual photo contest held at the SCFB YF&R Conference. Winners are selected in five categories: People on the Farm, Farm Scenes, Farm Animals, Conference Theme and People’s Choice. To be eligible to enter, you must be a member of South Carolina Farm Bureau and in attendance at the SCFB YF&R Conference. Entries must be taken between 2020 and 2023.
NEW THIS YEAR – An additional category has been added for the 2023 competition. Participants may submit a photo that correlates with the 2023 YF&R Conference theme: Engage. Advocate. Teach. (EAT): Inviting Everyone to the Table.
Submit one (1) hard copy and one (1) electronic copy of each photo.
