This course provides an examination of physical therapy management for individuals with osteoporosis. It will cover the relevant anatomy and physiology and pathophysiology of osteoporosis. The course will explore current evidence-based exercise recommendations designed to improve bone health. A key focus is prescription of exercise using loading principles while ensuring patient safety. Additionally the course will also address fall prevention strategies, incorporating balance training, and patient education. There will be some breakout sessions during the course to practice skills.
