This course will teach physical therapists and physical therapy students about the win/win/win model for physical therapists, mental health providers and patients. It will highlight the role and demonstrate interventions for physical therapists to treat common mental health diagnoses including anxiety, depression and trauma. We will discuss ways to access previously untapped referral/revenue sources from mental health providers. Participants can expect to learn interventions they can put into their practice immediately for all patient demographics, to treat underlying mental health issues, how to gain referrals from mental health providers and how to respectfully and discreetly refer their own patients to appropriate mental health providers for faster and more efficient outcomes. All content is evidence based, supported by strong research and has been utilized by Sam and Mike in their current practice settings with tremendous results.
