This instructor-led course provides excavation workers with the knowledge and skills required to serve as a Competent Person on trenching and excavation sites. Participants will learn OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart P regulations, soil mechanics and soil typing, selection and use of protective systems, and the steps to conduct daily excavation inspections. The training includes hands-on demonstrations, classroom instruction, and real-world application scenarios. All course materials are provided, and participants receive a certificate and wallet card upon completion. Duration varies depending on number of participants, hands-on activities, and Q&A needs.
