The Devising project will consist of an orientation session (Wednesday), two scheduled full devising blocks (one on Thursday, one on Friday. 2 hrs. each), one tech rehearsal (Saturday 1 hr.), and a final presentation of work with response conversation (Saturday). Each Devised Project session will culminate in a short piece. You have the option to build upon your work the next day or attend one session as a pop-in. For the pop-in, you will have an opportunity to sign up for a presentation slot on Saturday to show your work. Putting your work in front of an audience is an important step in the process of crafting a devised piece. It often is not the completion of a project, but the catalyst for re-writes and new drafts. After the presentation, we will have a conversation about your work through process and practice with KCACTF respondents.
