Participants can expect to learn a number from Ride the Cyclone. Workshop will consist of a brief warm-up followed by character-driven choreography. Participants can expect a fast paced, no stress, rehearsal-like experience that literally calls for thinking on one’s feet as well as attentive observation. Emphasis on picking up and absorbing choreography quickly, and demonstrating intentionality. A desired outcome is that participants — especially non dancers — develop less anxiety about dance calls. "Participants should wear dance attire or clothing they can move in without restriction that allows their movements to seen. No baggy clothes. Non-heeled, closed-toe dance (jazz) shoes or clean athletic sneakers are ideal. No flip flops, open-toed shoes, bare feet, socks, or hard heels. No accoutrements (hats, gloves, scarves, etc.), and nothing hand held. NO RECORDING ON ANY DEVICE IN ANY FORMAT WHATSOEVER AND NO NOTE TAKING! The choreography is copyrighted. Do bring water in a nonbreakable, non-spillable container and a towel."
