This program presents a results-driven project of public policy between Sonora and Arizona states achieved initial and continuing positive results through influence and leadership by state governments and collaborations between university and business entities. Utilizing the advancement of information and communication technologies, logistics, and taking advantage of prevailing rules of international markets provide new business and social geographical units. Megaregions create new opportunities of economic and quality of life purposes for wealth creation and discovering ways to meet needs of people, its region, and beyond. Presenters will share early and projected results within a scope of realizing new emerging possibilities for collaboration.
The program shows how achieving positive, productive performance in context of megaregion planning is enhanced with relationships developed and nurtured on mutual understanding of purpose and vision. The importance of empathy, communication, collaboration, and interdependence as a higher value support a stronger economic and social integration. New growth and opportunities for people in education, businesses, communities are emerging from this richness of geography and careful planning.
The program illustrates how EI principles can be operationalized with vision and planning and are at the heart of healthy, productive relationships. EI is integrative in nature, skills-based with central themes of communication, achievement, leadership ethics, and a process for renewal and resilience. Reflective, constructive thinking provide a guiding focus for solution focused results. And, acknowledgment of interdependence is a quality human performance indicator.
