Making accommodations in the classroom or theatre space should be the standard practice, not the exception. If we start from a place of empathy with the core belief that no one owes us their diagnosis or health status to feel welcome and to fully access our theatrical classrooms or work spaces, we can make small but significant shifts in our practices and protocols that create healthier and more universally accessible learning and working environments.
