The Origins Tour will feature stops at treasured favorites of Mormon history, such as the recently transformed Hill Cumorah, the Palmyra Temple grounds, and the Book of Mormon Publication Site. While in Palmyra, choose to visit a coverlet museum, an 1826 general store, or the gravesite of Alvin Smith. A highlight of the day will be the opportunity to be immersed in the culture of the Seneca at Ganondagan State Historic Site where we will visit a traditional bark longhouse. The tour will conclude with a stop at the lesser-known gems of the Tomlinson Corners Cemetery and the Tomlinson Inn, which served as the meetinghouse for the Mendon Branch and is where Brigham Young preached his first sermon. Jenny Lund will provide commentary during our travel time to Palmyra. Tour guides, David and Kathleen Cook, are long-time residents of the area.
